The Rural Municipality of North Norfolk welcomes you.

Geography

The Rural Municipality of North Norforlk is located in central Manitoba. North Norfolk is easily accessible by the Trans Canada Highway, which runs right through the municipality. Provincial Highway 34 and Provincial Roads 242, 350 and 352 also service the municipality.

The Town of Macgregor, located just off of the Trans Canada Highway, is the largest urban centre in North Norfolk. The communities of Austin, Sidney, Bagot and Rossendale are other larger communities in North Norfolk.

The municipality is situated in the rich agricultural fields of Manitoba's Central Plains Region.

Economic Base

Agriculture is a prominent part of North Norfolk's economy. The most prominent employer in the municipality is the Pine Creek School Division. The School Division employs approximately 216 local residents in various roles. Better Air, Mac's Rentals, Rosehill Wood Crafters, Austin Credit Union, Portage Co-Op, and Municipal Office also employ many residents in the area. Businesses will find locating to North Norfolk to be very beneficial.

With its proximity to the Trans Canada Highway, and being approximately halfway between major markets in Winnipeg and Brandon, North Norfolk definitely has great location for the expansion or location of new businesses.

The Nor Mac Community Centre is in full swing for 2009/2010.  Check out their web page for schedules and activity dates.   NorMac Community Centre
