Water Breaks

In the event of a water break in our Municipality we ask that you please check the Website & Facebook Page for updates. It is important to you sign up to our Connect Mass Email system, it is the fastest way to receive emergency notices and alerts. Click here to register Connect Mass Email Registration

In case of emergency, it is imperative that we have your updated contact information including:
-Current phone numbers
-Current mailing address
-Current email address

When the water break is repaired those residences affected may be under a precautionary boil water advisory until we receive two clean water samples in a 48 hour period. Notification that the boil water advisory is lifted we will be reissued to the public and posted via Facebook and the Website and mass email system.

The boil water advisory states that all water used for consumption should be brought to a rolling boil for at least one minute before it is used for:
- Drinking and/or ice making
- Preparing beverages, such as infant formula
- Preparing food, including washing fruits/vegetables
- Brushing teeth

It is NOT necessary to boil tap water for other household purposes such as laundry or washing dishes.  Adults and older children that are able to avoid swallowing water can wash, bathe, or shower.  Young children should be sponge bathed.
